Art Opportunity, February 21 Deadline: Barebrush March 2013

New York, NY — Jan. 28, 2013. All visual artists are invited by BAREBRUSH founder and CEO, Ilene Skeen to submit art of all genres for three Barebrush calendar contests: February 2013 N*des-of-the-Month calendar contest, the February 2013 PhotoArt N*des calendar contest, and the February 2013 Best-of-the-Rest calendar contest.

Barebrush founder and CEO, Ilene Skeen, will select the art for the Barebrush calendars.

When asked what she looks for when she selects the art, Ms. Skeen said: 

I look for skill in execution appropriate to the conception of the artwork. I am interested in the artist’s design, composition, energy and style. In addition, I look for emotional impact and significance.

 Ms. Skeen added:

The website is moving to the next level. Now in my seventh year with Barebrush.com, I’m still struck by the distinctive approaches, styles and expressions of Barebrush artists. Over the years, I have come to appreciate the uniqueness and professionalism of many Barebrush artists. If I could explain the essence of what I most admire, I would say that it is: 

• Concern for the human condition and for the world,

• Appreciation of the impact of art, 

• Personal commitment to continual growth and exploration.

 Barebrush Artists are uniquely talented and dedicated individuals. It is those exceptional individuals whom I want the world to come to know, and know well.
