Last chance to qualify art for My N*de Valentine gallery show Feb 2011 at Rogue Space|Chelsea

New York, NY — Dec 6, 2010. All visual artists are invited by BAREBRUSH founder and CEO, Ilene Skeen to submit art of the nude for the January 2011 N*des-of-the-Month calendar contest. Guest curator for the Barebrush January calendar will be Ms. Joyce Pommer, owner/director of Franklin 54 Gallery + Projects in Chelsea.

When asked to describe her approach to selecting the Barebrush art for January 2011, Ms. Pommer said:

In choosing the art work, I will be looking for the feel and sensitivity of the nude. I want to experience fragility along with a strong visual image and I want it to move me and connect me emotionally.

Ms. Skeen noted "Not only is this the calendar which launches 2011, but it is the final qualifying calendar for our first-ever "brick and mortar" show, My N*de Valentine Feb 2011 at Rogue Space Chelsea."  Advertising for this show includes 50 free postcards for each participating artist and quarter page show ad in New York Gallery Guide for January and February 2011. "We're getting great response, and we're looking forward to a fastastic event!"
