About the Salmagundi Club
The Salmagundi Club was founded in 1871 as a center for art in New York City's historic Greenwich Village. Located on Fifth Avenue at 12th Street, it is the last brownstone to have a residential stoop (and not a storefront) on lower Fifth Avenue. In talking about Mr. Picard, Ms. Skeen added:
“Tom Picard is a good friend and a fine artist. His work is unfailingly fresh and interesting. I am very happy that he has agreed to launch 2010 for barebrush and I hope the barebrush artists do themselves proud."
