Art Opportunity: Deadline October 16 - Barebrush N*des-of-the-Month
New York, NY – Sept 17, 2009. All visual artists are invited by BAREBRUSH founder and CEO, Ilene Skeen to submit art of the nude for the November and December 2009 N*des-of-the-Month calendar contests.
Guest curator for the November and December exhibitions is Ms. Marina Hadley, co-owner of Monkdogz Urban Art, NYC. Prior to the gallery, Hadley was responsible for a multi-million dollar corporate contemporary art collection. As a management consultant she has also provided marketing, sales, organizational and strategic support to art organizations. When asked what she will be looking for, Hadley said:
“I am looking for integrity of work above all else. I need to see the soul of the artist reflected in the work; the commitment and investment of the artist. I want to be able to understand the context within which the work exists; the past and the future, not just the moment that has been captured. I wish to have a dialogue with not only the artist but with the subject. I am hoping to being engaged, challenged and inspired by the work.”
