New York, NY. - Barebrush.com announces the winners of the July 2010 competitions. Grand prize winner is Bill Teitsworth, NWS, whose Swimmer is on the front page of barebrush.com for the month of August.
Nominees for the N*de-of-the-Month were selected by the guest curator as Curators' Choice. All barebrush curators have an opportunity to rank the Curators' Choice in their own special poll. Winners determined by a statistical combination of the curators and popular votes. The My Fav N*de poll winners are based on popularity.

Art Opportunity: Deadline August 21, 2010 - Call for Entries

New York, NY –- July 15, 2010. All visual artists are invited by BAREBRUSH founder and CEO, Ilene Skeen to submit art of the nude for the September 2010 N*des-of-the-Month calendar contest.


Guest curator, Brigitte St. Ouen, (pronounced san twon), owner and founder of 32 Fine Arts Gallery in NYC will select 30 artworks. Ms. St. Ouen has curated for barebrush twice before: September 2006 (the first Barebrush calendar) and September 2007 (our first anniversary calendar). Ms. Skeen noted, “I am thrilled that Brigitte has agreed to once again select the calendar art for the fourth anniversary of Barebrush. I am pround to show her how we've grown and how the art has become more interesting, accomplished and varied since we started in 2006.”

When asked if she would be the curator for September, Ms. St. Ouen said:

Barebrush's strong commitment to the natural form is necessary and exciting. I am so honored to once again take part in this global selection of artwork.

Barebrush Announces July and August N*des-of-the-Month

NEW YORK/EWORLDWIRE/July 1, 2010 --- Mikaela Sardo Lamarche, curator for ACA Galleries, New York, selected art for Barebrush twice before, in April 2007 and November 2008. This time, she selected 62 artworks for July and August, from the more than 800 submissions. Ms. Lamarche started both months off with a splash: Swimmer by Bill Tietsworth, NWS for July and The Other Twin by Janet A. Cook for August. "A must," she said.
