Guest curator, Mikaela Sardo Lamarche, curator for ACA Galleries in NYC will select 61 artworks. Ms. Lamarche has curated for barebrush twice before: April 2007 and November 2008. Ms. Skeen noted, “I am delighted to welcome Mikaela for a third go-round and to show her how barebrush continues to grow and improve and to show off the excellent art we have on the site.”

When asked what she would like to see for July and August on barebrush, Ms. Lamarche said:

I am looking for excellent technical skill coupled with a strong aesthetic sense. I will select artworks that are original or unexpected in their conception or execution. I will chose works that allow the viewer to enter the picture and somehow engage the composition and subject.
